Campus Bookstore

The campus bookstore, run by Barnes and Noble, sells books, gifts, sporting apparel, and of course, textbooks as well as other school supplies.

Center for Civic Engagement

The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) promotes a culture of civic engagement across the Rice academic community through research, service, and leadership. Four programs comprise the CCE: the Center for Civic Research and Design, the Community Involvement Center, Leadership Rice, and Passport to Houston.

Rice Cheerleading

Try out for the Rice Cheerleading squad! Males and females, flyers and bases welcome! There will be an information session held on August 25th at 7:00pm in the Kelley Lounge of the RMC and tryouts will be held during the first week of school. Find out more here.

Community Involvement Center

The CIC develops one-time and ongoing service programs for students interested in community service and service learning.

Leadership Rice

Leadership Rice helps students develop their capacities for leadership through courses, summer mentorships, grants for new projects of value to the community, and informal advising and coaching.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is available to the entire Rice community and is utilized by diverse individuals for a variety of needs.

Student Activities

The mission of the Office of Student Activities is to provide students with practical educational experiences that complement traditional classroom education, with a fundamental focus on leadership development.

Student Media

The Office of Student Media advises student publications and coordinates the production and distribution of the various campus publications.

University Bands

Rice has several types of bands with which to get involved - MOB (Marching Owl Band), Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band.

Varsity Athletics

All Rice students are admitted free to all home sporting events by presenting their valid Rice ID. Visit the Athletics website for sports schedules.
